How to wear neutrals during summer

Neutrals are an important part of every girls wardrobe due to it's versatility;

- it can be mixed and matched with almost every item in your closet.

-it adds a touch of class to almost every item in your closet.

Now, dont get me wrong; colors are good and fun and indeed an essential, but without a few neutral pieces you will find yourself surrounded by bright colors that leave you wondering why you have nothing to wear.

Neutrals can be white, cream, navyblue or grey

The trick to wearing a neutral piece or pieces is to add a fun dimension. For example, i wore my cream shirt (neutral piece which i rolled up the sleeves) with a black ripped Jean, a cream purse with white polkadot and an elevated suede shoe.

Its essential to avoid pairing neutral colors with other neutral colors without giving it some dimension because it can make the entire outfit look "Blah" instead of giving off a polished, elegant and classic chic vibe

Being A More Confident You

Growing up, i had always been on the shy side, keeping a lot of things to myself. I was always caring about what others thought about me and was afraid they would judge me.

When i got into university about 5 years ago, i knew i couldnt continue living that way. I had to look for ways in order to be a more confident person.

I have decided to share some tips that have helped me on my journey to self-confidence;

IN WITH THE POSITIVITY, OUT WITH THE NEGATIVITY

Its time to really evaluate your inner circle, including friends and family. Its time to consider getting away from those that put you down and shed your confidence; speak positively with your interactions with others.

BODY LANGUAGE AND IMAGE

I remember when i was in junior secondary school (junior high school) my principal always said "Dress the way you want to be addressed".

Go the extra mile and style your hair the way it suits you, dress nicely, hold your head high and smile; it would not only make you feel better about yourself, but others are likely to see you as a confident person.

BE YOU

last but definitely not the least, Be You. Dont try to copy or be like others around you. Find your strengths and focus on them daily. Do what you love and dont be afraid to share it. Be willing to take risks; one risk for me is starting this blog and i have not once regretted it.

Take a deep breathe, lift your head high, smile and conquer the world

The Jessica Buurman Story

I remember taking a nap on boxing day last year and waking up to see a notification from Jessica Buurman on my instagram page.

On checking it I found out I had won their giveaway, which involved me and three of my friends picking any item from their online store ☺. I was super excited and happy.

I decided to pick this lovely pump, because of the three shades of color and also because I didn't have any in my shoe collection.

Delivery was between 10- 25 days and they kept to it. Even when it got to Nigeria they kept emailing me to be sure I and my friends had gotten our package.

On getting the package I would say good job. It was sealed properly and neatly packaged. In all, I would say I should definitely be ordering from them in the future

Casual Friday: The flowered Shirt

I have had this shirt for a long time, probably for over 6 years (yeah it fits alright and still in good condition ).
I bought it when I was graduating from high school (secondary school ), fell in love with it because of the flower details

I wore it on the graduation day. When I wore it then, i was a complete mess, my sense of fashion and style was a little ugh, but it's a different case right now.

I decided to go for a casual look today but with a little touch of corporate. Paired the shirt with a black Jean and my favorite sandals at the moment with a pink satchel.

The accessories were a gold and black necklace, a gold earring both gifts from my aunt and a Rolex watch.
