10 Ways To Clear An Anxious Mind.

What if i start to feel worse? What if they hate me? What if she sees me sweating? What if i mess up in the exam?

Technically, anxiety is apprehension over an upcoming event. I remember feeling this way about two weeks ago. I got a mail to come write an aptitude test and my heart may have skipped a beat on seeing the mail, palms all sweaty, throat dry. Then the what ifs came up. At that moment i became anxious for the test day.

When you are feeling anxious, you might feel stuck like i did. Sometimes you even judge yourself for being anxious. Anxiety destroys confidence & productivity; and we'll dont want that. I would be sharing with you some of my favorite ways of calming an anxious mind.

1. Take a deep breath - Place your hand on your belly and take a deep breath through your nose filling your lower lungs, expending your stomach not your upper chest. Exhale slowly and repeat until your breath stabilizes and you

begin to calm.

2. Listen to music - Play your favorite song. Close your eyes and just listen.

3. Get enough sleep - The mind and body need

sleep in order to rest and refresh. An average person requires 8 hours of sleep everyday. Sleep deprivation is one of the primary causes of anxiety. Go to bed early and ensure you get up to seven to nine hours of sleep for a healthy

mind.

4. Stop over analysing - Dont always sweat the small stuff. Let it go! If you find yourself worrying over things you have no control of; go outside, play your favorite song or take a wall.

5. Talk it out - Whether to your friend or in a journal. Talk it out! Cry if you want to.

Sometimes all we need is to just let it out.

6. Speak positivity - Surround yourself with positive affirmations read more here.

7. Keep a gratitude journal - This helps to remind you about the amazing things in your life. Jot down at least 3 things you are grateful

for everyday.

8. Treat yourself - Take sometime off for yourself to read a book, take photographs, get a mani-pedi, watch a movie.

9. Take a nap - Give yourself a break. 10-15 minutes nap can go a long way.

10. Pray - This should have probably been the first. Commit all your worries to God, tell Him how you feel, He is always available to hear you. Whenever i give Him all my worries, i get calm. Trust Him and have faith.

Whatever it is that you feel anxious about; job, family, relationships find a calming routine and stick to it.

-Consider the likely occasions you’ll be wearing the pair before purchasing one. You could get a cheap one if its to be worn occasionally such as a fun trip, beach and wont cause heartbreak if misplaced but a pair you’ll wear often and while in direct sunlight may be worth an increased investment
-Comfort should come first when purchasing or choosing sunglasses the right pair shouldn’t noticeably shift or move, they should also fit close to the eye, but not pinch or squeeze anywhere.

Round face
A round face is usually sweetly spherical, has full cheekbone, soft and curved edges, a more marrow forehead and jaw line/chin. Avoid rounded frames because it may further amplify the roundness of your face. Look for sharp edges and upward lines to lengthen the face adding interesting dimension as well. Oversized rectangular frames also make a stylish statement on women with round faces. Just ask Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who turn to this silhouette time and time again

Heart-shaped face
A heart shaped face includes a broad forehead, high prominent cheekbones and ends at a smaller jaw line. Aviators are a chic choice for those with heart shaped faces. Cat-eye shades are also ideal as their upward angle are parallel to the outline of the bottom half of your face and cheekbones.

Oval face
An oval shaped face is usually symmetrical and proportionate, longer than wide, a narrow forehead and jaw line. The latest cat-eye designs are decidedly modern accessory for those with oval faces, like Olivia Palermo.

Angular or square shaped face
A square shaped face is usually fairly symmetrical and proportionate, wider than long, a broad forehead and a defined jaw line. Invest in a rounded pair of sunglasses; cat eye frame that curve upwards will draw the eye up creating softness in your strong jaw line. Retro circular frames, favored by Beyonce, complement angular features in an ultra stylish way. Avoid bulky or thick frames as they may appear heavier on the face. Try frames with thinner, narrow rims that are suitable for lengthening and softening a square-shaped face.

Going From FOMO To GOMO

Here are a few of what's happening this month of October that would try to take part in

- Yardsale Celebrity edit which would be coming up on the 9th of October from 12 noon- 6 Pm.

- Mente de Moda's Octofest on 9th of October from 12 noon.

- Never been to Cafe Neo....adding that to my bucket list. I guess these are enough for now. I want to be realistic and achieve at least one of these instead of just saying it. Lets beat FOMO and get into the act of GOMO.
